The parts thing kinda broke my heart as well. Holler at the owner from Top Gun Supply. He sales a ton of sig parts. He mentioned this recently on the sigforum. Ill try and dig up the link.

These guns really are tanks and most have had very few rounds through them, so I don;t see it as a big problem. Magazines may be an issue though. They too have just been discontinued.

I am not sure what the future holds for P225 parts and it is possible that SIG may decide to make the parts available again, but that is an uncertainty.

The thing is almost Ruger-like... It's built like a tank.
Springs will always be available and if you reeeally needed something small and obscure you could probably find it. It's not a DeLorean- it's a Sig.
Sounds to me like you are finding reasons not to get a $300 sig...
Mine rocks and has thus far shown itself to be an extraordinary value.

Yeah thats what he said..they're built really well so it shouldn't be much of an issue.

Oh well, just put money down on another Sigpro. Had to get one before they're discontinued.

so did you order a p6/p225 or not nikkon ?

any idea how much an ejector and barrel costs. If i plan on keeping it forever and thats the only parts to break or wear out i should buy them, they can only retain value or increase, right?

Mags i will just need to get 5-6 and springs should be easily attained to rebuild a mag for darn near for ever.

Since there is a decided lack of after-market (and stock original) grips for this pistol - maybe a large number of requests to Pachmayr or Hogue may provide enough incentive to have them produce some?

Hogue said the molds alone would cost around 40k. They don't seem interested.

Their web site is all screwed up. You search for P225 and you get 5 pages. You scroll down to the bottom and click on page #2, then you get 10+ pages and they are not even related to Sig or the 225

What a hassle.
