I don't believe so just because of the way it engages the sear. I'm not saying is not possible. but I really just don't know.

well im sure somebody will ask this
i know i can get other aftermarket triggers but i like the safty of the accutrigger.

also a company ofers drop in trigger for savages and they say it to replace standard or accutriggers so for the same trigger to work for both it seems like the gun themselves must be the same.

No, you can't. Well, from I remember from Savageshooters.com, you probably could, but it would be cheaper, safer, and easier not to. Timney makes a great trigger (put one in my Stevens) for $69, good down to a couple of pounds. Sharpshooter makes a better one for $89, will go down in the ounces.

You ought to sell the pre-accutrigger, and just buy a new one.

No you can not safely make a accutrigger work in a pre-accutrigger, Call Fred at SharpShooter Supply and he will hook you up with a nice match trigger

You can tune the old-style Savage 110 trigger to an icicle-crisp 3.5 pounds, and still have a safe rifle. I have an old 110/.223 tuned in this manner and I cannot imagine needing or wanting a better trigger for any rifle carried afield.
I have bounced it, unloaded of course, on its buttpad like a pogo stick with the safety off- and it will not trip the sear unless you pull the trigger.

I got the rifle for near-nothing because a previous owner had 'tuned' the trigger until it fired one day when he was closing the bolt. I gather his Missus (who was home at the time) had a significant input into the decision to sell the gun- cheap.

Exactly, and you can get some fantastic deals on the pre-accutrigger models. Oh, say a .270 110 for $250.

Roger,

There are several adjustment screws in the 110 trigger which you might turn and feel a difference- but those adjustments have to be in agreement with each other or you wind up with a trigger that 'feels good' but isn't safe.

Here's a tutorial that explains that balance.
