I carry an sp101 as well, in my pocket or in my back, it works just fine.

i have carried mine for 2 1/2 years every day all day. i even carry at work and have never been "made". it is a little heavy, but it is a great gun.
all that said, i am now carrying a pf-9 because it is lighter, thinner and has more shots. i would love to have a 642, but for me money was an issue when i bought my sp101.
