Very nice. Are you going with a release of some kind, or are you going to use your fingers?

Did you get to shoot it before you bought it? I'm sure the guys at the shop took care of you and made some good recommendations.

Browning makes good bows for the money. Won't be long and you will want to upgrade, just the way bow hunting is. My favorite type of hunting.

I shot I think 4 different bows before I bought one. Each one was setup and tuned specifically for me. A bow is very personal, it's not like a rifle or pistol. Everything has to be made/tuned to fit you.

Did you get a chance to shoot the bow? Not just draw it, but shoot it at least a dozen times to really get a feel for it?

With the short axle to axle length on that bow, the only option he has is to use a release. Now, the choices of releases are many. I personally prefer my TruBall Chappy Boss release and use back tension to get it to trigger. Some like index finger triggers but for me, I tend to anticipate the shot and punch the trigger with those. Some also like a true back tension release but I never liked them.

Nice bow there and be sure to practice a LOT to get proficient. If you're ever interested in a custom string that won't creep or stretch, drop me a PM. I have a custom string sponsor that makes an outstanding set of custom strings.

With a FAST bow, your going to max out at around 40 yards if your GOOD. Most guys keep bow hunting to 30 and under. I used to shoot a Browning Excellerator Plus with a laminated riser. That really dates me huh?...lol I use a crossbow now because its easier on my back but some states wont allow it. I do use pins on my crossbow though instead of a scope.
