Finally! (pics) UPDATED

Well I finally got my new rifle, it took 2 freakin weeks to get here. Its a Remington .308 SPS Varmint with a Nikon 4.5-14x42 Mildot scope, Leatherwood base and Burris Xtreme rings. I lapped the rings in today and got the scope mounted. I will be replacing the stock with a HS Precision and adding a Harris bipod, BUT I FINALLY GOT IT!...lol

This picture taken last week before the scope was mounted.

Did lapping the rings show much? I used the Burris rings on my .308 and they seemed so damned square that I did not bother to lap.

Thanks everyone, I will be shooting it and posting targets tomorrow. It may not group through the first 100 rounds or so. Im shooting surplus stuff for the break-in.

In all honesty, I was quite suprised. It showed some high spots but they were VERY square.

I've started using Burris Signature Zee rings so I don't have to screw with lapping any more.
