IWB or Ankle carry for Keltec 380 ??
I'm a very fit person who 95% of the time wheres shirts tucked in, so what would be my optimum holster choice for my Keltec?? It doesnt seem that it would be uncomfortable carrying on the ankle giving its size and weight.
Thanks for your help.

Here's a pocket option for ya
![]() Kel-Tec P3AT/P32 Convertible Pocket/Wallet Holster It looks a little funny but go check out the video thay have on how to unholster and you'll get the idea. There are other designs, but I like this one. I have always viewed an ankle holster as a back-up location but YMMV.

I'd go either ankle or pocket. I use this:
![]() ....but I have two new superfly holsters on order. The Nemesis is cheap and reliable, but prints in my work pants. I have an Alessi ankle holster as well that works awesome. I'd take a pic, but don't think you want a shot of my hairy legs!!! LMAO! -Fyr

I've found depending on the color of my pants and belt the shirt tucked method works fine with the IWB clip method. I hate ankle holsters. A tough place to reach my P3AT subtly, and more risky, it ruins putting your feet on desks.
The thing with the Kel-Tecs is that if it's your first gun I can see being confused about how to carry it. If you've carried before it will work amazing in any carry method you have previously used with success. Furthermore it will allow for methods that were not previously workable. Experiment, have fun with it. Be safe.

Personally, I think that ankle carry should only be used for BUGs. If the keltec is your primary, definitely go with either IWB or pocket carry.

Here is the first IWB I bought for the 380. It works good and if you do print, most people will think it is a pager due to the big black clip. Galco Stow-n-Go $26

Carry that little mouse gun muzzle-down on your strong side.
I have the P-32, essentially the same frame size. My work clothes consist of tucked-in shirts and khaki pants almost all the time - no jacket/blazer and no tie (thank God!) and you will never find me wearing a VEST. It's simply a giveaway for CCW/CHL in most large cities. I want to remain anonymous and avoid standing out in any way. At least current men's clothes account for the wide acceptance of untucked shirts even for us 5 day a week white collar working stiffs. Here are the holsters I use: ThunderWear - 90% (7 days a week) - 1 o'clock position GrandFather Oak Kydex - 5% front right pocket (nighttime mostly) Uncle Mike's small IWB clip-on - 5% - 2 o'clock or 4 o'clock position While I would certainly prefer to carry my 9mm or .45, I have not made the change to my clothing during the day. It's simply not practical, but I am working on finding some nicer shirts I can wear un-tucked. Once I master that, my P-32 will become my back-up. Last edited by GoCodeBravo; 10-11-2007 at 09:22 PM. Thank you all for the replies. I've owned many guns over the years but I am brand new to concealed carry, hence the newbie questions. Right now my only arsenal consists of my XD45 Service and the Keltec. I'm really liking that Galco Stow-n-go, however can the shirt be tucked in behind the clip??
I just noticed the Galco USA model that has the J-hook design allowing one to tuck a shirt in. I may be ordering this one very soon.

The Stow-n-go will not allow you to tuck a shirt in over the gun, but behind the clip.
