Cleaning a stainless steel gun
I learned something about cleaning stainless steel slides and parts the other day with my Taurus PT145SSP - it sucks if you're anal about the final look!
 You don't see all the disolved, dark residue on black or blued guns like you do on stainless. I know I'll get used to it but getting the stainless free of streaks, inside mostly, was more work than the black guns I have where I can't see all that stuff. I do like cleaning my guns though so I'll survive.

A little bit of chrome polish goes a long way.
Works great for small scratches and removing black that just won't come off. Use sparingly. - Ryan

I play with my buddies SA Loaded 1911 and I have the same problem as you I am anal as hell about cleaning guns. But I did notice that it is a lot easer to clean then the XD

A green scrubby pad works great for working out scratches.
