I see these sorts of things and always like to think that our own clandestine services have something to do with them.
It's a great way to deal with an enemy. Wouldn't it be a pity if 300 crates of grenades were delivered to insurgents with only a 1/8 second fuse on them? Or 300,000 AK-47s whose metal was constructed improperly so that the recievers would be rendered useless after just 5 rounds. Or a couple thousand crates of 7.62x39 where the primers just happened to be bad?
