Suggestions for 9mm selection
Hi all,
I'm looking to try out some 9mm pistols for carry purposes. The only 9mm I've shot is a sig 226 that is 15 or so years old. Good pistol but larger than I'll be able to carry due to my dress requirements most of the time. Also, how would you rank the recoil of some of the more popular compact and sub-compact 9mm out there against a full size 9mm like the Sig 226 or a Walther .380? I know this is a loaded questions but I'm just trying to narrow my selection choices. I've only got one place that I can rent different ones to try but their selection is a bit limited. Thanks! |

I'll second Majk's response.
They are both fine pistols & you can't go wrong with either one.

Loved my XD9 sub; it was a great gun and gave me zero problems. I have a USPc 9mm that I love, and will never get rid of. It's my baby. The HK is a tad larger than the XDsc, and I do mean only a tad, but I've never really had a problem concealing it. The main question is, "Do you want to spend quite a bit more money for an HK or a Sig, when there are plenty of excellent weapons out there for hundreds of dollars cheaper?" At the end of the day, buy the one that puts the biggest smile on your face...or gives you the best Viagra effect.

Consider the Kahr P9 or PM9!
Lightweight, concealable, and very reliable.

I say the Glock 19 and the CZ-75B . The CZ is a full size but very reliable and the Glock 19 is all good and a bit smaller . The Glock has excellent rust resistance.

Well, I've got the XD9 Service that I try to carry as much as possible and then I have a Kel-Tec PF9 that I carry most of the time. Love them both. Each have positives and negatives.
Here they are from behind
