Ok...nice Garand...but give us the lowdown.
Who is the maker? Original barrel? Cut or un-cut op-rod? Was this a CMP piece? How about the stock...it looks like it is new or refinished...very well done...but too smooth to be a "service grade" Garand. Ah yes...the "ping"...a great sound. Gotta love the ping. Watch your thumb... - Brickboy240 (now you'll have to track down some of that Korean M2 ball or the excellent Greek HXP surplus 30-06...I have seen some of this stuff around and bought a can of the Korean stuff at the last gunshow for a not-so-dear price and my M1903 loved it)

I think he was referring to the surplus ammo and not the Garand in case you read that statement like I did at first. I thought he called the Garand crap.

yes I was talking about some of the milsurp ammo floating around out there.I would never shoot korean ammo out of any weapon I own.the greek while it "might" be good you have to think....
how long has it been in a ammo bunker somewhere in the heat/cold/damp conditions.if I didn't break the seal on the ammo can I not using it. with my own handloads I know it is quality powder, bullets and primers.AA2520 was made of the M-1A/M14 and M-1 garand gas systems. ever wonder what powder the koreans used it make their ammo with???. pete
