I know, I already have a plastic .45. I wanted something small and compact for CC and liked the compact M&P much better than the XD sub. If I had to choose between a M&P .45 and my XD45 it would be a tough decision.

Those M&P's look like sweet shooters. I really would like to get ahold of one for some range time. I've been thinking about one of those for home . . . something both my mom and dad could handle (he likes the G21, her favorites are the 5906 and *shudder* sigma)

I shot both the 9 and the 40 subs at the range and I thought they both handled and shot extremely well. For such a small pistol I was amazed how controllable the recoil is and how well it fits my big hands. I want her to practice as much as possible and she seemed to have a little easier time with the 9.

I handled (but didn't get to shoot) a LOT of sub compact 9mms yesterday and I preferred this one over all our other possible choices, including the XD9sc. (our complete list can be found in my "dual purpose 9mm choices" thread.)
