Followed me home today.
Look what followed me home today. I thought it needed a good loving family.

You are such a kind and loving man to give a stray a home!
Hopefully it will serve you well!

I have not been this excited about a new acquisition in years.

Those M&P's look like sweet shooters. I really would like to get ahold of one for some range time. I've been thinking about one of those for home . . . something both my mom and dad could handle (he likes the G21, her favorites are the 5906 and *shudder* sigma)

I shot both the 9 and the 40 subs at the range and I thought they both handled and shot extremely well. For such a small pistol I was amazed how controllable the recoil is and how well it fits my big hands. I haven't fired a single round through the new 9mm yet, but hopefully I'll get a chance later this week. If it shoots even as well as the dirty, beat up, rental 9mm sub M&P I shot at the range I'll be very happy. Even my wife shot well with the .40 and she's only 5'4" 120 lbs soaking wet. This was only her 3rd time firing a handgun and she did great with it. We ended up with the 9 because the recoil of the .40 could have gotten a little much for her after a long day at the range. I want her to practice as much as possible and she seemed to have a little easier time with the 9.
I handled (but didn't get to shoot) a LOT of sub compact 9mms yesterday and I preferred this one over all our other possible choices, including the XD9sc. (our complete list can be found in my "dual purpose 9mm choices" thread.) |
