Taurus also made a Raging Thirty at some point... Think it had an 8 shot cylinder and used moon clips. Cool gun

Our city court judge stopped by my office today and asked me to look at a handgun he had acquired, and see if it was safe to shoot. He handed me a stainless Automag III in .30 carbine. This thing looked like it had never been cleaned....a lot of lead and carbon build up. I googled it and found the owners manual and commenced to field stripping to look for damaged / worn parts. Everything appeared to be in safe working order, but like I said was very dirty. I told him that I didnt see why it wouldnt be safe to shoot but that it needed to be cleaned. He asked me to clean it and offered to let me take it to the range. I couldnt pass the offer up. After cleaning it, I took it to the range and fired 9 shots. WOW! What a FUN gun to shoot! The recoil was a lot lighter than I expected, and the muzzle blast was a lot louder and stronger than I expected, and the trigger was way lighter than I expected. Dry firing it I expected it to be pretty good as it felt like my 1911's, but I wasnt expecting it be that light when firing it. After the first three shots I fired to function test, I shot the next 6 just for fun at a distance of 15 yards. An overall group size of just over 3.5 inches was attained.

Have I said these were fun guns to shoot?
