S&w M&p9

So I carry an XD and a Kimber CDPII.

My G/F shoots a POS taurus pro9 and we hate it! We are thinking of getting her a M&P 9 compact. What are your reviews of them?

She really likes my XD but the M&P seems to be slimmer for girlie carry.

Thanks.

im holding off on any M&P Purchase until S&W gets all the bugs out. Seen lots of comments about ppl having some mag drop problems amoung a few others. But I do like the look and feel of the weapon.

Honestly, if she needs something now, get the XDSC or look into a Steyr S series, some will even say G26 but im no fan of Glocks at all. However, they may fit the bill for your GF.

just my 2 cents

I have 3 M&P's and 3 XD's.

M&P's- 4" service 9mm, Compact 40cal, Compact 9mm

XD's- Tactical 45ACP, Service 9mm, Sub-Compact 9mm

I love all my XD's and M&P's they are all great guns. But i would have to say that i like my M&P compacts alot more than my XD Subbie. They have no flaws, interchangable backstraps, minimal recoil, not as thick, and accurate as can be.

Id say go for the M&P and also look on the bright side, it will also show u have a variety of weapons.

Blake.

P.s.- I would never tell my XD's any of this!

yes, I would not buy her a Glock and I already have an XD9sc.

She don't need anything right now but after january she will be toteing around 2 small babies.

Want her to be or feel safer if someone decides to take advantage of her "weakness".
