H&k P2000 Sk
Anyone have this pistol? What are your thoughts?
I haven't shot one yet, but I'd like to. |

I love mine. I don't know how else to elaborate. You're going to need to ask more detailed questions.

Another member had one in 9mm for sale in the Trading post forum a few days ago with night sites and extra mags.
A friend of mine has one and it is really a sweet pistol. They are a bit pricey, but a very good piece.

I had one. All I can say is Awesome! Super concealable and very accurate. I had to let it go to get something to shoot steel with.

Yeah, sorry, that was kinda vague.
I've thought about swapping out my G26 for something else in that size range. Nothing else has the barrel length and as short of a grip as the glock. Most guns in the SC category are slightly taller and have a shorter barrel. The longer barrel doesn't bother me - in fact I prefer it, but I really want the short grip. Anyway, that's all beside the point. Fact is, I'm really intrigued by the P2000 SK, at least on paper. I want to try one and consider swapping it for my glock. So, have you found the P2000 SK to be reliable. Any ammo / feed problems. How do you like the trigger? I would lean toward the DA/SA option rather than the LEM (personal preference). But how is the SA pull / over travel. This gun (like my glock) would be my "small" carry gun, and something else fun to shoot at the range. And I might add, when at the range, I'm an accuracy nut. But then, every gun I've ever owned has been capable of far better results than I am. |

TxAggie94 buy the P2000sk. You will be amazed. I had a Glock 26 also. No comparison as far as accuracy. Even bigger guns will have a hard time competing with the P2000sk. I never had any feed problems with any H&K I've owned. The only drawback is its price. Its not cheap by any means. That said, you do get a good return for your investment.

I have it's big brother... the P2000. My bro has the SK. He loves his, and I'm getting to where I love mine. The LEM trigger takes some getting used to, which is what I am struggling with right now.
It's an awesome every-day carry gun, though. The P2000 full size is practically identical in size to the vaunted Glock 23, but unlike the Glock it has ambidextrous controls and a fully supported chamber.

LEM trigger
As I understand, the LEM trigger is a bit on the heavy side. Is that why you say it takes getting used to, or is there something peculiar about it?
Does anyone know what the approximate trigger pull is for the DA/SA model? I realize its pricey. If its worth it, I'm willing to save up a while. |

It's not that heavy in SA mode, but it's pretty damn stout in DA for that second-strike ability. There are two springs you can swap out that lighten the trigger, however, and I've ordered them and am looking forward to trying it out with them in place.
You can read about my adventures with the LEM trigger here: http://hkpro.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66673
