Px4 Storm

is a nice pistol from Beretta. I was checking one out at the store a couple days ago and I like the way it fit my hand and I liked its overall size.

Does anyone here have any experience with it? If so, how does is compare to and XD, Glock, or Sig? I'm familiar with those three but I've never shot this specific pistol.

I shot one at a Beretta Day and it felt good. I like the hi-tech look of it. The replaceable backstrap is a feature I wish all guns had.

Good gun!

Like an idiot, I sold my 9mm PX4 sometime back, but only in the expectation of buying a .40 to replace the 9mm. I wish I still had that gun. It was an extremely comfortable and good shooting gun. It's hard to compare the gun to a XD, but I'll try. Recoil is similar, but I think the ergonomics of the PX4 are a "little" better, with the interchangeable backstraps. Both my Service 9mm XD and the PX4 were absolutely 100% at the range. I was just about as accurate with one as the other.

So, your choice should come down to which feels better to you. I think CS is a little better at SA than Beretta, but that's only hear-say. Consider whether you like the manual safety or the XD safeties, and also whether you want the lifetime warranty of a XD or the 3 year warranty of the Beretta. I would not be ashamed to carry either one.
