I have had a Sig P228 for a number of years and I just love it. In my opinion, Sig is the benchmark and they make excellent pistols.
The P228 is my favorite carry gun |

I have a non-rail late 90's P229 in .40 S&W. It's a great gun. The XD has since become my favorite, but I still take the 229 to the range from time to time. Reliable, well-built, and fun to shoot. The Equinox is a sharp looking pistol. If you can find one (and it's not overpriced) get it!

I've got one... Love it!!! Not only does it look awesome, but it shoots great too! I have both the 40S&W and the .357Sig barrel for mine. Its 2 guns in one! Best looking Equinox of the series. Only one thing to be concerned about, are the grips and how it feels in your hand. The double stack mag makes the grips very fat. Handle it and a P226 to see which you like better. Hope that helps!

What do you all think. The one thing I really like is the "look" of the wood grips.

I think the wood ones are stock. Most factory refurbs I've seen have the rubber. I'd be careful on the deal! Price is about the same as what I've seen retail though. Then you need to pay the transfer fee, so not really that good.
