Who sells the cheapest ruger 10/22?

Who sells the cheapes ruger 10/22 run of the mill bare bones rifle. Walmart only has the camo version and I swore they use to carry the bare bones one for under $150.

If it's for a full build, you can buy just the reciever from a few different places, which may save you money if you are adding all parts. Search for "10/22 reciever" and you'll see alot of options.

The bare bones model here is 179.95. They have had them on sale for around 150.00 in the past.

Check with your local gun/pawn shops. I can generally find used ones in good shape for around $110ish.

+1 on the pawn shops. I picked up a decent used one for 89 + tax 2 days ago with a scope, a decent 3x9 scope.

I don't know how economical this approach is. If you just buy a receiver, you have to buy a bolt, trigger group, magazine(s), v-block. Add all this up, and it's probably less expensive to just buy a whole gun....even a new one, especially since if you are not going to use them, you can sell off the barrel and stock and recoup at least some of the cost.

Some of the high-line receivers cost more than a new10/22 anyway. Like a VQ or Magnum Research.

Plus, if you buy a reciever mail order (I've never seen one in a gun shop), you have to pay FFL fees (plus shipping).

Peace,
D.

Big +1
Buy the entire gun on sale for $150-160, then recoup a lot of cash selling the barrel, stock, and various parts. You'll be much better off in the long run.
22lr's got on sale quite a bit around thanksgiving and christmas...so if you can hold off, try and buy one at that time. In the mean time, keep your eyes open for a good deal on a used on.
