I've been casually researching my options in an EBR in .223, and I've been seeing a lot of good feedback on the Daewoo DR200 (civilian model of the K2). It seems like it's got the same basic layout as the Robarms XCR for about half the price, and the only real gripes anybody's posted seem to be similar to those for the XD: hard to find parts, but a smooth shooter.
Anybody around here own one of these from our Korean friends or have some first-hand experience with them?

Daewoo is a crazy conglomerate.. clothes to military gear - they make Korean tanks don't cha' know - and everything in between.
Rumor has it that this is a hidden gem for the price. But as noted, parts are not numerous and there is a negligible aftermarket arena for them. Still if you've got a line on one for a good price, get it.. just get it.

Dan, Daewoo makes excellent firearms.
My first encounter was their DP-51 tri-action 9mm semi-auto when Davidson's first imported them. I still own it. The .40s and the compact 9s just did not appeal to me though. I have fondled many of the DR-200s at gun shows but never did buy one, even when they were between $250 - 300. I kick myself now. Presently, I would say that the DR-200s are going from $500 - 600. Good solid rifles, and seem to hold up well. As far as their auto making the factory that made Yugo cars switched part of their factory to production of AK's, I never heard any complaints about Yugo AK's but shure heard alot about their cars.
