Fairly reliable, but a long, gritty trigger.

Mine is 100% reliable. Taurus has come along way with their products. The trigger is a little long, but not the worst I've ever seen.

Yeah, I'm looking for reliability over trigger pull. Any info on how they compare size wise to a G26 or XDSC?

I have one. It was my concealed carry before I got my XD40sc. It was the closest I could get to an XD45sc. I loved having 10+1 of .45ACP. It's about the same size as a subcompact. Just a little bit wider. Mine ate anything I fed it. However, the firing pin return spring broke on mine but Taurus fixed it at no cost. The long trigger was odd. Whenever I shot the PT-145 at the range, my shots would be low for the first two magazines. I haven't shot mine in a while though.
Edit: It turns out I could've ordered the return spring from Taurus for $5.00 and replaced it myself. There's one design flaw that you should know about. If you pull the trigger back just a little then engage the manual safety, you will still be able to fire the gun once. I don't know why you'd do that but just be aware. For what it's worth... I still have mine and it's what I would carry if something happens to my XD40sc.

A guy I shoot with some has one and he swears by it. I have put a few round through it, the grip is nice and it aims fairly well but the trigger is tricky.

I bet my life on my PT145.. it's really close dimensionally to the G30, really close. The grip is a bit thinner and the checkering is a bit harsher on the G30 IMHO, but at half the cost of a new G30 I'll take my Taurus any day of the week. Also there is a PT145 for sale in the trading post right now. The asking price is fair, shipping and FFL cost throw it above what I can get one for here locally.
This is not to mention the fact that my 115lbs better half has adopted this gun when we go out shooting (she allows me to use it the rest of the time

I have a pt-140 mil pro, 40 S&W with a stainless steel slide. never had a problem. it is my ccw. the trigger is a long pull, but is smooth. I like the fact it has a thumb safety. It IS a handful in regard to recoil at first, but practice has helped me get over that.
My only issue with it is that it shoots about 1 ft low at 15 yards, when aiming at the center of the target. I would have preferred to get a 9mm, but i couldn't pass up the price. |

If it's similar to the 24/7 in any way shape or form (which it looks like it is) avoid it like the plauge...
My 24/7 couldn't hit the broad side of a barn at point blank range and it jammed 2-3 times every magazine. The trigger was a joke as well. Get an XDsc.

Yeah... uh it isn't a 24/7 and I'm going to guess you got a crap early run of the 24/7 .. the 24/7 .45's are very nice, not XD45 nice, but still better than a block.
