The gun control video was excellent. I love the look on john stossel's face when the other guy said "sure, you can call the police, and they'll show up, and take a picture of your dead body." Priceless. Good story though, not what i would expect from ABC.

Thanks for the information Nikon, as a relative AR newbie (still learning the ins and outs in terms of the workings of my Stag) I try to soak up as much info on it as I can!

Edit: This may be a weird question but will this bolt work in my lefthanded AR?

I sure wish it would work with mine! That is one place where we lefties are SOL. I still think that the Stag is the best thing going, I sure love mine, but it really doesn't have the extreme interchangeability of parts that most AR owners enjoy. Your bolt and bolt carrier, as well as the upper receiver, are Stag unique, nobody else makes major parts that will interchange. It isn't anything to worry about though. Stag definitely has a decent reputation, and the parts their rifles ship with are good enough. However, there are some minor parts that will interchange. The firing pin, firing pin retaining pin, bolt cam pin, extractor pin, and gas rings are all interchangeable. The extractor, I believe, is also interchangeable, but I'm not positive.

These are all upper-receiver parts. The lower on a Stag is completely standard, you could pull the upper off of nearly any (except for some Colt models that have weird pins) standard AR and throw it on the lower of your lefty rifle with complete functionality.

Good luck with your Stag, and if you have any other questions, there are a lot of stickied threads on ar15.com that can give you more complete info. If you feel you need to ask a question, there are a lot of people here who know a heck of a lot more than I do, and are quite a bit nicer about it than the average arfcom denizen. (no offense intended to anyone who lives there too, but if you are here, you probably aren't the type of whom I speak)

Good question. Im not sure. I think in the lefty uppers the bolt carrier lock-up is reversed.
