What's the most fun .22 revolver?
I know this is a totally subjective question but i'm looking for a .22 handgun and just decided I want a revolver over a semi-auto.
However that's pretty much all i've decided so I'm just wanting to hear what you guys feel is the most fun .22 wheelgun so i can start to narrow down my choices Only other thing i've decided is that I want to spend under four hundred. |

I've had hours of fun with a Ruger Single-Six.

If you dont mind I would like to know why you're going with a wheel gun as opposed to a semi auto?
I am not criticizing your decision just curious as I have never even fired a .22 revolver. I do happen to own a lovely ruger MKII

I've had a Ruger Single Six for a number of years and just recently picked up a Browning Buckmark. Maybe it's the newness, but the Buckmark is a lot more fun than cocking before every shot. YMMV try to shoot a few different types.

Hey, good idea for a thread. I'm looking for another .22, too.
I've narrowed it down to the S&W 617 because of the 10 rounds. Or the Taurus Tracker 970SS6 because I like the look of the vented barrel and have had no problems with my Tracker 45. Please, I don't want the age old Taurus is **** discussion or the "praises" of S&W. I own both of those manufacturers and I am happy with both. I know Taurus isn't a Ferarri like my S&W 686 but it also doesn't have the S&W price tag. I still prefer my Ruger for .22 but sometimes it's fun to play with a wheel gun and that's why I plan to get one. If anybody has any other suggestions besides these two, I'm sure some of us would like to hear about them. My buddy's old 1950's hinged 7 rounder is old, ugly and beat up but it's so fun to shoot. I'd buy it off of him but it's too short so it's illegal here in Canada now for everybody but those who have the "grandfather" clause on their licenses.

I have my XD so I kinda want to try out the other side of handgun shooting. Plus I just watched Open Range again the other day so revolvers are dancin' in my head. |

I have borrowed my brother's stainless Ruger Single Six many times and yes..its alot of fun and very accurate. I still don't know why I don't have one!
(I do have a Ruger 22-45 and that too is a fun 22 pistol) - Brickboy240

You might also want to pick up a Blackhawk or Vaquero next.
I have a 5.5 inch Vaquero in 44 Mag that is big fun to shoot with 44Spl cowboy loads. Good looking, too. My brother has a 357 Blackhawk that is a great shooter and deadly accurate as well. - Brickboy240

Nothing quite like a Ruger single action!
