Ruger 10/22

I'm looking for a used Ruger 10/22, about what do these run used? Honestly, I have too much time on my hands and want a project/something to do, so maybe even one that is messed up in some minor way? Any ideas of used/torn prices on these and what are the best places to find them?

just saw a few at the gun store on Saturday used $175 and $185. The one for $185 was a stainless with a stripped stock and the owner had done some cutting on the stock. The last one i bought was a plain carbine with a broken rear sight paid $150 and turned it into this.

You got the right idea, I have messed w/10-22's since I was little but I don't know a GREAT deal about them so I am wanting one w/some minor problems that would knock off about 50-100 bucks. That gun looks good, if you don't mind me asking, how much have you put in that gun total?

Bought the center one as shown at a pawnshop in July, OTD for $100.

They are out there if you look.

If you watch for sales, many times you can buy them NEW for $150-160...if you plan to buy a new stock, new barrel, etc. the take-offs can be sold on ebay.
You'll get a lot more for a "New, Take off" barrel and parts than you will on "Used off my pawn shop find" parts.

In my area, it's hard to find a used one in any condition for under $125. They're just too popular, and sell too quickly...no one wants to give away a hot item.
