.22 rifle wanted...maybe.
Hey guys...I'm considering buying a new .22 for plinkin use since ammo is gettin hella expensive.
Question...do any of you guys know if anybody makes a nice bolt action for a 22LR?? It's been years since I've looked into 22's...my little Marlin 60 auto is gettin a tad old...want somethin new and just as dependable. Prefer it to be US made....

Your gonna have LOTS of Ruger 10/22 advise (and yea thier GREAT)but of course its a semi-auto.A friend of mine had a Ruger 22lr bolt gun,with a SS barrel on it and WOW it was accurate.I just stick with my Winchester tube feed that my Dad gave me when I was 14.

The enemy teaches their kids how to handle RPGs and Ak-47s...our schools suspend kids for drawing a picture of a gun and teach Earth Day and putting a Trojan on a banana. Whats wrong with this picture? Brickboy240 |

Why a rifle over a pistol?
I've owned lots of .22 rifles and never found them to be much fun, but when I got my browning buck mark I noticed that I enjoy shooting it a lot more and my range time becomes more productive. If you want a good .22 rifle look into some old remington rifles. Mine is just about 50 years old and looks like brand new, shoots wonderfully as well.

CZ makes some really nice bolt action .22's

Those CZ rifles look really nice too!
Somethin with a nice classic wood stock would be awesome.....maybe somethin that'd last.

I like my Savage Mark II-F bolt-action w/ Acu-Trigger, and it has 10-round magazines available. Awesome accuracy right out of the box.
