Lookin to do a few mods to my AR, not very happy with how it looks.. not sure quite what i want to do yet, i just want to make it look more tactical, im not a huge fan of big flashlights and such, but wouldnt mind a very sleak and bright one mounted on the side (my biggest issue is having to take it off every time i put it in the gun case to the range) anyone have any good ideas?

i was thinkin about getting just some easy magpul mags grips, and maybe and EOtech... the price kills me inside tho... give me some ideas, any little thing helps..

Well ... you can always pick up the Bushnell Holosight, cheaper by about $125 (though if you watch AR15.COM you can get some screaming deals on used EOTechs and AimPoints for example -http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=7&f=23&t=465127 ).. There are always the AimPoint Clones to look at as well.. lose the bipod, has no use for CQB if that's the intended use. I personally am not a fan of those flip out VFG's.. so there is that. As for a small light.. get a TRL1 if you really want small or get a QD light mount (CAA has a pretty good one) and a SF G2 w/ tape switch from Brightflashlights.com ... drop the massive scope... another decent upgrade is a CTR or UBR stock from MagPul..

If you're doing this for looks, then do what you think looks good. If you are doing it to change the function, then think about what function/use you want.
