Shotgun Sights

I am looking to add a set of rifle sights or ghost rings to my 870. The only problem is, I can't seem to find any. Wilson Combat sells some for a large ammount of money. Unless I am blind, why is there such a small selection?

These are also kind of pricey:

You can get a front sight really cheap made by HiViz. They're easy to drill and tap. not sure what manner you are using the sight system for?

Home defense. I have a good feeling I can be a lot more accurate with a set of sights when firing buckshot compared to the single bead.

Will you be able to see the sights in said home defense situation?

Might look into the Lasermax 1202. I have one on my HD 870 and I love the thing. It's a laser/light combo for under $189.

It's pretty hard to accurately fire a shottie under pressure while trying to hold a flashlight.

seems kinda expensive all around, but that's the link to what I found at Midway USA... you might check Cabelas, Brownells, Sportsmans Guide and Google

I have a set of hunting sights on mine.. Hi-Viz tri-viz, but they are great for quick target aquisition.. I would use them for HD..

Its kind of hard to get a god picture, but you simply line up the three arrows on what you want to shoot..

I would go with something like a single Hi-viz fiberoptic up front. I actually use one that is held on magnetically for like $15. Works fine for me. You are not really going to have a chance to line up sights in a home defense situation anyways.

If rifle sights are useless for home defense like many claim, why do so many tactical units have them equipt on their shotguns? The Benelli m4 comes with them right from the factory. http://www.benelliusa.com/firearms/m4.tpl\

My ideal setup is a surefire forend with sights.

Yes, in extreme situations its point and shoot. But that is no excuse for not preparing ourselves and our weapons.
