Rifle scope ??? best bang for buck

I am looking for some good glass to go on my varmint rifle. I just want to upgrade. I have a Barska on it right now. I found these, but have never heard of them. I have a fairly tight budget, and know the old axium.........spend as much on your scope as you did on the rifle. Unforunately, I don't think I can afford to do that. So,........I was curious if anybody has suggestions for a world class scope for under $100 ? Or at least a good scope for the money. Are the scopes below a good deal? $300 is probably my upper limit.

Other suggestions are also welcome.

.22-250. Coyotes, prairie dogs (hopefully), and general target shooting.

I hope to get out to western or northern Nebraska and that could be 300 + yards.

SuperSniper 10x and 16x and Burris full fields .. Bushnell 3200 and 4200. All of them will come in under $300.

Go to http://www.samplelist.com/default.as...ide_sold=false

I personally would reccomend Stock# 6162, its a great scope well withing your budget and you get a pretty decent mini spotting scope with it all for under $200...

I think this marketing concept was developed by the same advertising firm that came up with the "spend at least 2 months salary on your engagement ring" campaign. Good glass is nice though, but I don't know anyone that ever said they couldn't make a shot because their glass wasn't nice enough. That said.......Natchez is closing out Browing scopes (rebadged Elite 3200s) at a good price, and CameralandNY has some really nice Pentax closeouts.

I got a smoking deal on my latest piece of glass (Pentax Lightseeker30 6-24x), but I really like Burris and Pentax optics. You can get a fullfield 2 by Burris for around 2-250.

You guys rock. I never even gave most of the major name brand manufacturers much of a thought. I ASSUMED that their prices would be too high for the features I wanted. I will definitely be giving these euggestions a closer and serious look. It might be until the end of summer before I have the extra cash to get one, but I really like to do my homework before I rush into a purchase.

eta: any other suggestions?

Take the same shot using a Bushnell 3200 and ANY Schmit and Bender 10x or USO 10x and you'll see the reason that is said

Sure a 68' Bug will get you there, but a Ferrari will get you there much faster

But I bet I make the shot with either, and have $1000 or more in my pocket. I agree that's great S&B is fantastic glass, but at some point, you're talking about style points, rather than a true need. If money was not object.......I'd have some. On a funny side note, I read the other day that most Europeans consider Swarovski to be working mans glass, and Kahles to be the good stuff.
