I have strayed...

Well, I did it. My buddy talked me into a Glock 26 today. I like the little guy and it's pretty darned accurate. I think I might use it to shoot IDPA with next time. Who knows.

We shoot thousands of lead rounds per year through a G21 (Gen 2.5), never had a KB.

Congrats on the G26 Chewie. I'm looking at a trying to get a 17 to use for a USPSA Production and GSSF Am. Civ./Am. Comp gun (I'd get an XD-9 Tactical if my friend and range owner hadn't started taking me to GSSF shoots). I'd kinda like to try a 19 for carry too.

Lead bullets, poorly supported chambers, and the ability to fire out of battery.

Just ordered a Glock 19

Chewie,

Congrats on the G26. I love mine. Very small and very accurate. I placed 3rd in my 2nd ever GSSF shoot with it. I just purchased a Crossbreed Supertuck for my G26. I JUST got it but, so far...so good.

If I had an extra $400-500, I'd consider getting the G39 in 45GAP. The size is nearly identical to the G26. As a matter of fact, some very bored acquantances at a local indoor shooting range actually determined that the G26 and G39 frame are inter-changeable. The put the G39 slide onto the G26 frame and...of they went.

Have fun!
