Check CDNN, you can probably find a police trade in.

you can always try a hi-point they are just over $100 for the pistol and around $175 for the carbine. People will flame them but honestly they are pretty reliable guns and no questions asked lifetime warranty.

Good used 9mms that sell for around 350 bucks? For range use?

The Beretta 92F comes to mind - in good used condition, they can be had in that range...easy. A great range gun with low recoil, long sight radius and easy to find, cheap magazines. Very reliable and fairly accurate, too. brand new, this is a 550-650 dollar pistol.

Harder to find, but usually in that price range, is a nice used CZ-75. Accurate, low recoiling and better suited for smaller hands than the Beretta 92F.

Sometimes you CAN find a used Glock 17 in that price range...another proven pistol that is good for smaller hands and is utterly reliable. Like the 92 Beretta, its a low maintenance and trouble free shooter. Many online sellers have police trade ins or factory re-builds with a warranty for around 360 bucks - another attractive option.

I have seen used XD-9 Service models in that range..another good option.

Want something different that shoots great? CDNN in Abilene, TX sells bran new Steyr MA-1s for 349.99. Accurate, low recoil, made for smaller hands and Austrian quality at a steal of a price.

For a little under 400 bucks (369 or so), you can get a SIG P6/225. These are single stack 9mms that were former German police guns. Great for smaller hands, very accurate and high quality guns. I have one and love it. German quality. This would be a good one for women with smaller hands...my wife loves shooting my 225.

I'd stay away from other low end 9mm like the Ruger P85/89, Taurus da/sa's (except the PT92), Smith & Wesson 1st and 2nd generation autos (too inaccurate) and the S&W Sigma. Why fool with low end guns like these when nice used higher quality guns are in that price range?

Good luck in your search...theres lotsof good choices in that range if you look around.

Keep looking, because it's not terribly uncommon to come across used deals in that price range.

I stopped at Gander Mountain in Harrisburg last week and they had Sig 239s (I think--they were 9mm) for $369 or something close to that.

I have a Smith and Wesson Model 39-2. I think it's worth about 250 bux. Has a 1911 feel and is da/sa. Looks like theres a few out there on guns usa and gunbroker both. It was a gun my dad had and he's gone so I kept it.

Yes, the old Mod 39 Smith is a good shooter. The Mod 59 and other leave alot to be desired, though. My Mod 59 and 3906 gave me shotgun like groups.
