Thats about the going rate. Make sure the serial numbers match on all parts - bolt handle, stock, magazine and receiver. Condition is the key to getting a good shooting Lee Enfield.
The Aussies are fun shooters. I have a 1942 Aussie MkIII in very good condition and love to shoot it. The 303 produces very little recoil and is surprisingly accurate and the bolt is very fast to operate. 303 British ammo is harder to find than it used to be, but it is out there. I actually own four Lee Enfields: British, Canadian, Aussie and a US/Savage made lend-lease Enfield. They will all keep up with the average 98K, 91-30 Mosin or 03 Springfield on the range. Theres a wealth of information on the web about Lee Enfield rifles - do a google search and you'll find everything you want to know about these historically important rifles. (if you hunt, the 303 is great on whitetails and wild pigs!) - Brickboy240
