Beretta Storm in Digital Camo

After all of the heavy rain, (and thus humidity), I finally got around to finish my Beretta CX4 Storm project.

I first started by cutting off the bottom end of the stock for a more cutom look. Also, because it just got in my way when trying to eject a magazine. It was hollow so I used some liquid fiberglass to fill it in then sanded it down smooth.

Lightly sandblasted the polymer to ensure a finish that the DuraCoat would adhere to. Clean, degrease, then several coats of varying colors for the digital color job.

Before (after the chop job...oops):

During:

Accessories:

After:

Thats pretty sweet. However why do people like to remove that piece of the stock? I think it looks better with it then with out.

and a few more...

Overall, it was a lot of fun and nice to start something from scratch. I also bought a 3-8x scope for it and it's quite accurate at 100 yards!

Thanks,
Like i stated, that part of the stock gets in the way during magazine changes. Plus it was fun to do and actually required a little skill to get just right. Also helps to make it look less like a cheap Hi-Point.

Nice job - looks nice.

On the Beretta Forum, there was an Italian police officer who had one, and he had cut the stock too. he stated that after a year or so, it was still holding up great.

That's badass! The CX4 is on my "want" list but I never thought of cutting that bridge. It looks like I already decided on the 1st mod to a gun I don't even have yet. Hahahaah!

Great job! Can you tell me the specifics on the optics? Model? Price? I've got a buddy with an EoTech on his and he's not real thrilled with it because it doesn't cowitness with the irons. Does yours?

Looks great! Are there any legal implications to turning it into a pistol grip rifle? I know you can't take a Norinco AK thumbhole and slap on a pistol grip without replacing a bunch of foreign parts with US ones. Are you in effect creating an 'unimportable' weapon by giving it a pistol grip?

How many "Desert" K-9 Units are there?

It should say "Camel Unit" on the side...
