Marlin Model 60/70 red dot mounting
I have a Marlin Model 70 which is basicly the same as the 60 just mag fed instead of tube fed.
It has a small rail on top for mounting somekind of optic (factory mount that is cast into the reciever). What kind of mount is this? what base do I need to look for. I'm wating to mount a SMALL red dot or some such on it such as the one pictured below. http://ncstar.com/new/productList.php?p=1&r=18&c=31 ![]() Thanks for any help.

should be a dove tail, probably 3/8"....should work, they usually have 'reversible' rail clamps that mount on dovetails and 1913s...

I can find their other red dots on the web though. I sent them an e-mail so I should have somekind of awnser tomorrow on where I can find it.

Hmmm......Kinda expensive I only paid 100 bucks for the rifle. I may throw it in on my next order of 7.62x39 and do the 4-pay plan.

I believe this is correct. It's the same size as my Daisy 880 if that helps.
