It's my favorite gun.
It's light weight, high capacity, accurate, reliable, concealable yet just big enough to use as a "service" type pistol. Don't forget it's cheap to feed. If I could only have one gun, it would be the G19. |

The G19 feels blocky to me. I don't like the feel of the safe trigger (as with all Glock). The mag release doesn't work well for me (hard to press the button). Magazines are relatively cheap (like all Glock).
I like the HK P2000 V3 more. The P2000 feels great in my hand & I like the ambi mag release setup. Magazines tend to be more expensive. I don't like the DA (too heavy for me) but the SA is sweet. I still consider myself as a Glock fan but I'm starting to lean more towards HK now since having the P2000. |

I don't own one but I was a couple of steps away from owning one. I did get a chance to shoot it and wanted one for carry for quite a few reasons.
Pros: Cheap mags (Though the XD's can be had for about the same price) It's like the Small-block Chevy of the pistol world, people make everything for it Smaller than my XD-45, I think it would conceal better on me 9mm is cheaper for me to shoot. (Would be nice for production in USPSA too) Cons: Grip isn't as comfortable as my XD, it'd take a bit of getting used to. I like glocks, I can shoot them well and I'd really like to have a couple of them. I just like the XD a bit better.

I have one. Love it. It is the biggest handgun I have. I can still conceal it, although it's a little on the big side (for me). I shoot it very well. It's a great pistol.

Although I adore my XD's I love my G19. It's what I carry daily in a CTAC IWB. The G19 is perfect in size as it's small but large enough to hold 15 in the mag and one up the pipe. With a Hogue Handall it's perfect even for my big hands and I'm very accurate with it. Highly recommended and the best Glock in my opinion for carry.

I had one; wished I'd never sold it! I could put rounds wherever you pointed to, unlike my G17.
I bought a 9mm conversion(to XD40) barrel from Corey; tried it today for function. great, even feeds from my XD40 mags(since Tomball P&G were out) rapid-fire. Yeah, it's a little smaller than an XD and you can't shoot lead unless you swap barrels but I save my lead for my 1911's. Mikey |

I think the Glock 19 is the best Glock they made. They are crazy reliable, accurate, and hold a bucket of bullets. If I had to choose one pistol to have it would probably be a G 19. 16 x 127grain +P+ rangers is a hell of a package. A modern classic.

Damien in Seattle I don't list my guns - I know glocks, FALs, and AKs but I'm not sure my ability to fill a gunsafe with guns make me an expert on anything. All that you can depend on from a 45 is that it will drill a .45 - .70 inch hole about 14 inches into someone. There will not be "energy dump", people will not fly backwards, and they will not necessarily fall as if they have been struck by lighting. |
