how bad is the recoil compare to a commander size 1911s??I remember shooting my dads 357 ling time ago he had a 357 with i think 4 to 6" barrel cant remember but it was heavy and while i was able to shoot it i dont think i hit my target,I used to own a kahr in 45 too and that felt like i was shooting a revolver too..

The difference in 45acp and a 357 magnum is quite a bit.Hince magnum,I own 3 357's and 2 1911's (45acp).I enjoy them all but the 357 has more recoil, plain and simple. You bought a small revolver in 357 witch I love but just hang on LOL.

The 651 kicks like a mule in .357...about five rounds is about all one wants.
