I WANT BOTH!! I am looking to build an AR, but now I am wondering if I should just wait until the Masada comes out. Any thoughts as to when in 07? Or is it 08? Hopefully before the election!

And what about this damn .22LR conversion kit? When does it come out? Will it work with the .45? Will they make a 5" version?

There's a thread that's 24 pages long about the Masada over at ar15.com. The owner of magpul and Drake (one of the LEO marketing guys) have posted on it a number of times about it. Last I heard was a first quarter '08 release.

Whether or not you can wait till then or not is up to you. Myself, I want a Masada in the worst way, but I'm not gonna stop buying guns in the meantime.
Haven't heard anything about a 22 conversion for the 45 yet.

I'd say get both. The platforms are different enough that it will be worth having each. Add an AK to that too

Lord knows I'll have my name on the Masada waiting list as soon as I find out where to put it

Those MagPul boys are only 45 minutes away.. might have to take a jaunt and get a look at what they have in place.

Rumor has it on the .22 kits is that they want to make absolutely sure it works before turning the critics... er us lose on it. I'd rather they had it done right than deal with crap.
