New T/C Triumph in my Gun Safe!!!
Well, I was dead set on getting a T/C Omega Z5 this year to replace my CVA Optima, which I am in the process of selling right now. I was scoping them out in Cabelas, as they have them on sale right now for $250. I couldn't decide whether I wanted the thumbhole model or the regular stock, so I went over to Bass Pro Shops, which I have locally here - but they wanted $320 for the gun. I checked it out, and decided I wanted the "regular" stock. So I come home to order it from Cabelas.... BUT I CAN'T!!! IT'S BACKORDERED!!!
So... back to Bass Pro Shop this afternoon for some other items, while I'm waiting on Cabelas to get the Z5 in stock. I had saw the Triumph in the magazine ad, but thought "man, that's kinda ugly". Well... pictures don't do this gun justice. I picked it up today - wow. MUCH lighter than my CVA, and it even feels lighter than the Z5. Then I started playing around with it - the breech plug is a quarter turn, tool-less removal item, with gas seals and safety features!!! So... next test - the "point". Up to the shoulder she went - ooooohhhh man!!! It was pretty much over at that point. This is a really sweet weapon. I had to have it. $420 later.... I'm out the door with my Bushnell Banner Scope from the Optima on it, but with new rings and a base that fit this weapon, as the others just didn't quite fit. I'm so excited about it. I can't wait to shoot it!!! All the best, Glenn
