Walther P99 ????
Hello all, I was looking for opinions from any Walther P99 owners. Which trigger? AS, QA? likes, dislikes, known problems?, Thanks everyone.

I know a firearms instructor who insists that (other than the 1911) the P99 has the best trigger out of the box of any pistol. Minimal take-up and crisp break with a tiny reset.
I will say, if it's anything like the P22 with that stupid-ass safety feature where you can't pull the trigger without a mag in it...you can keep it. That's so ass-backwards (to me; I'm sure there's someone out there who likes it.) that it throws me off my routine and probably puts me at greater risk of an ND.

I had a P99 .40 QA and loved it.. decided to consolidate calibers so .40 went away. Outside of the fact that mine was an older version and did not have a standard 1913 rail, it really was a great gun. The two stage trigger was very cool to use and really helped me work on my trigger control.

Also, the AS version's single action trigger is superb after about 500 rounds which is close to "out of the box". After 1000 rounds, the DA of the AS system is also fantastic (be sure to practice that first DA shot)! -stunks |

U want the A/S - it is my all time fav gun.
I know you want details, but I end up talking about the gun all the time. If you do a search here, on glocktalk, the high road, and www.handgunforum.net - U will find all sorts of positive comments on the P99 A/S!! |
