Am I the only one that would kill (not literally) to get one of these?

CMP used to have them up until about 12 months or so ago. Couldn't get the money together before they dried up

I know a guy that has one. It is sitting in this storage thing full of junk. I have been trying to talk him out of it for months. I was close once, but now he wont sell. Its a shame to think how many historic firearms are just sitting in closets and basements not being used.

I have a nice Remington 03-A3 that was made in 1943. Good shooter, but it will beat you to death with recoil.
Truth be told, several MUCH cheaper milsurp rifles I own will out-group the 03 Springfield. All three of my Swedish Mausers, the Swiss K-31 and my M-27 Finnish Nagant will usually out-group the 03. The Swedes will beat the 03 by quite a good margin. Want an ultra high quality, sweet shooting early military bolt gun? Look at the 6.5x55mm M1896 Swedish Mauser. I have been collecting and shooting military surplus rifles for quite a long time and the Swedes are my hands down favorite shooters. - Brickboy240
