If all goes well with work, I should bring in a very nice chunk of change here in a couple of weeks, so... help me decide what gun to get next.
Here are the three I've been considering, all 9mm: - EAA Witness, compact, Wonder finish; - Baby Eagle, probably compact, steel frame; - CZ75, again, probably compact. I understand all three are, basically, pretty much the same, with only some cosmetic differences. I'm looking to spend under $500, so I believe they're all in the ball park, too. I already have two carry guns: XD9sc and HK USPc 9mm, so I don't really have to get another carry gun, but that's the way I'm leaning. I don't shoot competition, so I don't really have a need for another full-size gun (also have a Beretta 96). So, give me pros and cons of each! I really like the Baby Eagle's looks, but at the same time I'd really like a stainless (for lack of a better term) finish since I'd probably end up carrying it. I can't afford a chrome B.E. though, lol! I hear the CZ75 family has an excellent reputation for accuracy and reliability. Both the B.E. and CZ (fullsize) feel nice in my hand, although I noticed the slide release lever seems a little far outta reach on the CZ...but it might have been Gander Mtn's funky trigger lock on the thing keeping me from getting a normal grip. If you have any info on each of their Customer Service departments, that'd help too. I'm all ears, fellas! Thanks!

i would go with something small... a frame...some metal... maybe a little bit of plastic... about the size of your hand... and black...

The CZ and Witness (Tanfoglio) are the same gun. You just decide which you like better, Czech quality or Italian style. The Baby Eagle......your paying for the name, its also known as the Jerico....its just a slightly different version of the above...

I bought the CZ-75 Compact P01 in OD at the end of last year, and I like the way it feels and handles. I used the instructions from the CZ forum to convert the fullsize CZ-75 Hogue wrap around grip to fit, and it works great. Accurate piece. I paid $350. I have exactly 488 rounds through with no malfs.

you cant go wrong with any of them
i got the baby eagle, and have had zero problems with it I put some hogue grips on it, and now i love the way it feels Dont quote me on this, but i think out of the 3, the baby eagle is the only 1 that has full length guide rails Either way, they are all great guns

Thanks guys, I think I'm leaning toward the Beagle at the moment. I'm going to meet a guy in town today who's selling one FTF. He said he got it from a fella that bought NIB for his wife. She put 10 rounds through it and didn't like it, so they sold it. He's never shot it. It's a full-size, steel frame, 9mm, with 2 magazines (15 rd I think?)...$400. I'd really like a compact, but this sounds like a steal to me. Basically brand new! It'd be the end of the month before I can buy anything, but I'll let you all know what happens!

Met with that guy today about his Baby Eagle. That gun is mint! It's exactly as he said it was, and it felt really good in my hand too. I had my CrossBreed Super Tuck on (empty, XD was in the car) and I put the Beagle in just to see what it looked like under my shirt. To my surprise, the gun fit the holster very well, and disappeared! Guess I won't need to buy a holster for it! I told him I'd take it, so it should be mine at the end of the month.
Thanks to all for your input.
