Taurus OSS

Anybody know anything about the Taurus OSS? All I've heard is that it was designed to for recent military pistol trials, and when that project was suspended, they decided to sell it to the public.

Here's the link for the pistol:

Never Heard of It Until now

Looks very nice. Unless the fix is in with a domestic company and it functions well I think it would do well. Probably beats the hell out of the HK's price.

Maybe another agency with an "I" in it's acronym has already picked up some.

Just went the the websight....now that I see the side view, it's kinda ugly. The pic in the magazine ad looked alot "cooler".

If it's coming from Taurus, you can expect delays before it's released. Just take a look at the PT1911s. To me the OSS looks like the 24/7 pistol.

I'm not normally a Taurus fan, but I own the PT1911 and I find the quality to be very good for Taurus. I think I'll pass on the OSS.

That is because it is a 24/7.

Hot link.......looks like a 24/7 and seems like alot of fluff for a SA/DA pistol. "...life saving second try on a faulty primer..." sounds like a typical SA/DA pistol to me....maybe I should be impressed because it has no hammer??
