If I had it to do over, I wouldn't have bought mine. I had a magazine's bottom shatter on me, and I've been hesitant to shoot the other magazine in fear of breaking it, too.

I dunno. I've mixed feelings on it. It's a platform that would allow for insanely accurate long distance shooting, hindered by being launched from a gun with the most god-awful sights you'll ever see on a handgun. Well, outside of those Rorhbaughs(sp) with no sights, but they are close in defense guns.

If I had it to do over, I'd get a Marlin .22LR, tube fed. I'd put a $20 P.O.Junk scope on it from BSA. And then I'd plink away like a maniac. That whole "rig" would put you back about 200 bucks.

Guess it depends on how much $170 is to you. It's good money to me. If you have the money to where that isn't a huge hit to your wallet, sure... go for it. It's a fun shooter and would make a nice truck gun, I suppose.

I got that same setup when I was 12, marlin model 60, cheap scope 14 shot tube. Nickel size groups with all 14 rounds at 50yards.. still shoots great 13 years later

How do you shatter a mag bottom?? Never seen sheet metal shatter before.....The sights are small notch and post and the XDs sights aren't much better. Not being mean, but you must not be use to military type sights, especially Combloc sights....The guns are great, and some are very accurate. You can tell the accuracy of them by the 'dots' that are punched on the top of the slide, usually in front of the rear sight or behind the front sight. The fewer the 'dots' (1-4) the more accurate the pistol. You can also get a 9x19mm barrel for them, no other mods needed other than squeezing the mad lips. Besides that, they are a hell of deal for less tha $200 and you get Czech quality on top of that......I own 3 now.

Where can you get such a barrel? I'd love to shoot that CZ-52 in a local IDPA match!

Makarov.com is out right now, I think http://www.aimsurplus.com/ has some, stripped...(buy new hardware so you can do a 'drop in' conversion when ever you want). May I also suggest some new firing pins and rollers too......Don't dry fire it, the pins are weak and will break. If accuracy really sucks, get some new rollers.....

I just got mine from S.O.G., paid the extra $10 for the handpick and got a like new gun and a holster I'm sure has never been used. Shoots great and surplus ammo is cheap.

OK, thanks. I don't see CZ-52 barrels listed, but I can call AIM on Monday. All I need is the barrel? I will also get some firing pins and rollers too. Not sure what a roller is, but I will get some.

EDIT: Now seeing the barrel, I see the rollers.
