Help with Old Ruger Pistol

Can anyone help me identify this pistol? It doesn't have the Mark I on it as you can see in the inset photo. It has two 10 round mags. It's not much to look at but it shoots incredible. Is there a way to find out the age?

I just pulled my MK1 out of the safe. It doesn't say MK1 on it where you specified, either, though mine has the silver phoenix medallion on the grips.

Sorry I couldn't help more - I'd go with the previous advice and contact Ruger with the serial #.

From what I can tell, it's about 30 years old and called the Standard. Maybe the predecessor to the Mark I. One side of the handle has the Phoenix symbol and the other doesn't. It sure is a sweet shooter. I paid about $100.00 for it with a holster and two 10 round mags.

I just found a story about Ruger .22 50th anniversary and it's almost identical to my gun. Sounds like I got a good deal too.

I recently recieved one also, and by my serial number, it is a standard model one also. My grandfather picked up a US Army training holster that went with it in the early 60's. The serial # dates to around 1956, and still shoots great.
