while I will be the first to say I really like shooting my AR ect these old military rifles are a hoot to shoot.the old mosin nagants can be very accurate with handloads.
a few months back I was shooting the 100 meter line at the range and the guy beside was shooting his rem scoped 30-06.when we went down range to check targets he did a double take.my K98K smoked his rem for groups. he turned and said you don't have a scope .

Nice M-N. Those Russian blasters are fun to shoot no matter what the barrel length is.

That's a sweet looking rifle, AH-1.
I've got a couple M-N's. One is a standard 1939 dated Tula while the other is a 1938 dated Finn-capture Tula. The Finn-capture has nice brass?/copper? end caps on the upper furniture. Enjoy!

That old metal buttplate beat the heck out of me when my buddy and I put a couple hundred rounds through one, one day. It was FUN, though. We blew up some stuff with old corrosive steel core crapola. They weren't all that accurate, but they were good enough to do the job. Get some quality ammo if you have a good bore. Or else, spend a LOT of time cleaning it.
