I've been licensed for awhile now and for summertime, I can't do much better than my fanny pack. Yeah, I know it's a giveaway to people in the know, but it works for me.

Last few summers I've done the same as winter ----sub-compact Glock in a Kramer leather stongside belt holster. I sell swimming pools so I wear shorts and an untucked polo shirt.

Occasionally in winter (coat weather) --I'll strap on my XD45 compact in a blackhawk holster.

This year I picked up a Walther PPK/s and pocket holster which seems to work well in the cargo pocket of cargo shorts.

The 380 ACP is a bit on the small side ---kind of a balance between "any gun is better than no gun"' and "bring enough gun to the gunfight".

You live in NC open carry if you are comftrable doing so. I'm about 5 foot 7 about 155-160 and carry in a nylon holster with a thumb-break retention strap when I carry openly. XD-9 Service by the way. I'll have to post some pics later when I can find my damn camera's USB cable.

I'm 5'10" 235 lbs. In summer I wear the same gun I do in winter. I wear shorts mostly and baggy t-shirts or baggy tank tops. I carry IWB in a Galco Royal guard. I've done this with small and large guns{biggest by far was a 6" Ruger GP100. For your size[how tall?} I would recomend the Royal gaurd with a sub-compact. I don't think Galco has the RG for the XD but it fits perfectly{i do mean perfect!} in one for the Sig 228/229.

I'm 5'11" 175lbs, slim, fit, broad shouldered. No matter the time of year or weather I carry a XD 45ACP Service in a CompTac CTAC. In the winter I wear jeans with a white undershirt and a button-down shirt untucked. In the summer I wear jeans or jean-shorts and a baggy shirt untucked. I cant the holster further forward to help with the print.

I used to be lean...and I like my ankle holster if you can stand pants in the summer. Other than that, buy a smaller gun!

I'm 5'8" & weigh 160 I carry a 45xd service 4" BBL with my shirt tail out in front on my right side. If I'm going some where that I need to have my shirt tail tucked in I wear a light wind breaker with my gun behind my back tucked in my pants with the handle exsposed, in case I had to reach. I hope this was some help
