ok all you self tinkerers??

i recently baught a used taurus mil pro in 40 i like the gun but im itching to try some mods on the gun and was wondering if anyone has modded their milpro or any other polymer framed firearm im thinking about rounding the trigger gaurd first and trying to stipple the frame does anyone have any info on doing this?if so any and info will be greatly appreciated.

I've never attempted it myself, but there have been several threads floating around here where people used just a cheap soldering iron with a fine (sharp) tip to stipple the grip, and it turned out pretty nicely. Just be sure to mask off the areas you don't want to do with some tape, and by all means, practice on something else first.

I rounded the trigger guard on my XD. I used a dremmel for the quick and dirty and an emery(sp?) board for the finer schtuff.

I used a radiused back of a blade tip on my soldering iron to do mine. I think it feels better than the small point stipple like OldSchool had on his, but that's just me. Jake S. came over a couple weeks ago and I showed him how I did mine and he really liked the feel and ended up doing it to his XD as well. Takes about 30 minutes to do the whole gun, and that's w/ breaks for appropriate tasty adult beverages. I used a belt sander to radius the slide and any points on the frame I wanted to dehorn, and have started to finish it up cosmetically w/ a emery board.
