Price On Used MKII

A local pawn shop has a used MKII that is the blued 5 1/2 bull barrel and they are asking $299?

Is it me or is that ridiculously high since you can get a new MKIII for $300?

They also said it has some rust on it.

How much would you offer?

What are the major difference between the MKII and MKIIs?

That's insane. I'd offer $100.

AFAIK, there are no really useful features added between MkII and MkIII, only dumb stuff like a key lock and magazine disconnect.

FYI, my local shop has brand new MkIII's in stock for under $250.

OTOH, MkII's and III's do NOT go down in price.
They'll basiclly last forever, so they typically run only about $50 less than new.

I saw plenty MK1 and 2s at Tulsa over the weekend. They ran from $200 for an old MK2 in average shape to $300 and up for the MK3s. I wouldn't pay over $225 for it. External rust can usually be cleaned off wihtout too much bluing damage - just be sure to inspect the bore and action, I wouldn't want rust in there.
