That's a 10/22, right? Looks very nice and sounds like you got a great deal. I paid that much for my plain old 10/22 with one mag and no case at Wal-Mart last summer.

Good for you. I just bought another new 10/22 a few weeks ago...stainless with wood stock. They are great little rifles.

Great price! The 10/22 is one of the most is guns to customize available. I suggest you get an extended mag release the stock one can be a pain.

How are you going to fit that 10/22 in your pocket?

The 10/22 was the first rifle I ever purchased. I had 2 problems with it.
1.) The scope base came loose. I didn't know it and it elongated the threads on the top of the receiver. I had to sent it to a gunsmith to fix it. They had to drill new holes and put in a new rail. IIRC, the new 10/22 has bigger screws that bite better. Either way, if you add a scope, put Loctite on the screws and between the receiver and the scope rail. 2.) After YEARS (I bought it new, at the mall, at Woolworth's in 1984) of shooting, I notice that the pin that holds the BCG in place almost falls out when the receiver is out of the stock. Years of BCG hitting the retainer pin has elongated the hole it is in. To stop this from getting any worse, i put in a polymer buffer. Now the BCG bangs against the polymer pin instead of a steel pin. Have fun with it. It's a great gun. There are TONS of upgrades for it. Hardwarz. |
