AK Stock?

I have that Romanian SAR-1 still, as you may have guessed, but I haven't done anything to it. I'm gonna take it in baby steps (as that's all I can afford) and I want a buttstock first. I want a folder for a good price. Preferably a side folder in polymer. What do you recommend? I don't need advice about why folders are not cool etc, but I would welcome any debate on what's the best for the money.

Thanks

I'll subscribe to this one. I've got the same AK with no mods. I'm not sure I'm going to mod the AK. I have one AR fully loaded and see the AK as a back up.

the last one won't work. Its for the AKS74 that folds to the left. Its not compatible with any other set up, you would need to change rear trunions and modify the reciver for the latch and lock button. For poly stocks, your choices are limited.

Your cheapest bet would probably be a Tapco stock. You can get the entire matching set for just over $100 here.

I just ordered this for my AKM. It's not a folding stock, but it looks pretty nice and comes with other fun goodies.

I am in the prosses of building some AK's. If any of you want to off load your stock wood furniture let me know. I like staining it different ways and could use some new stuff to add to my current AKs.
