Having owned both, I am partial to the XDSC. That said, there are many small, 9mm platforms. I would suggest visiting a gun shop with a lot of options.

The Walther P99C, Glock 26, Beretta 9000s, H&K P2000SK and Bersa MiniThunder 9 are all in that size category. The Bersa and the 9000s have decocker and manual safety, the H&K and Walther have decocker options, the Glock has neither. They range from $300-800, so pick your budget and your weapon.

It is an OWB though. That's the only way I personally like to carry. I think we are the only ones that think that the XD's are bulky. Nobody else seems to see them.

If I were buying one, I'd definately buy a G26. I own and carry a G27, and it conceals great, and fits great in the hand.
I'm not opposed to XDs, I own one and wouldn't hesitate buying another. My Glocks feel better in my hands, and a little slimmer than the XDs; easier to conceal. Just my opinion. |

WOW...thanks for all the information. I was going to check out the gun shop this weekend just didn't have the time to. I saw that someone suggested I get an XD9 yet I already have one. I am looking for more of a summer conceal carry pistol. Thanks for all the suggestions...many have been taken into consideration.
