Newest Toy!

Just got a Saiga 7.62x39 16.3" rifle last night for 250, out the door! I am going to convert it to a full AK. Any suggestions on conversion? No pictures yet, but I will post them soon!

Not my picture but they're all the same until they get converted.

Nifty, I didnt know you could convert them. Whats the advantage of converting that compared to just buying an AK?

You get a real AK for about $400-600 loaded, after conversion. Russian receiver and parts. It is made by the Izhmash factory, the original AK factory in Russia. Basically the Russians moved the trigger back, made a "permanent" stock w/o pistol grip, removed the suppressor, and altered the mags just enough not to take the AK hi-caps so they could get import approval. Other than that it's the real deal from Russia, not some build kit from who knows where. IMO

Does the conversion include moving the trigger?

Yeah, they move it into the right position and make the reciver accept hi-cap mags. My reciever already has the holes in it. Then they add a pistol grip and anything else you might want, like handguards, suppressors, stocks, ect.

I saw a basic conversion for $150. trigger moved and pistol grip from Red Jacket. A full conversion for $275-375.
