Swiss Schmidt Rubin K31
Who's got one? I've been wanting one of these forever but never have found a decent condition one at a decent price at the local gun shows, but I think I'm ready to order one through a dealer, most likely through AIM Surplus.
Does anyone reload 7.5x55 swiss? I'd be shooting this mostly at 200yards (that's as far as my range goes) with the spendy surplus swiss ammo (although I hear it's "match-grade"). I also plan on shooting a good portion of the new Wolf Gold stuff. Any experience you'd care to share? Thanks. |

I have no experience with them but they do look like they would be alot of fun for a day at the range. I'm thinking more and more about getting the C&R license to start buying some of these surplus rifles.

It is honestly the most amazing rifle I've ever shot. I'm no sniper but this thing will make you look a lot better than you are. At least for anyone who has never fires a very accurate rifle with great ammo.
I like the way they feel etc. Wolf's gold line is supposed to be pretty good and would probably keep you more than happy at 200 yards. I'd get one before they dry up. Besides most come with that nifty tag under the butt plate.

My K31 from AIM shooting the quickly disappearing GP11 ammo is the most accurate open sight rifle I've ever shot. Hitting 16" metal plates offhand at 300 yards is not a challenge.
The K31 is the long range king in my frustrating education that my least expensive firearms are my most accurate- K31, RIA 1911, Savage 93R17. Be sure to stock up on GP11 if you can find it. It shoots better than the much more expensive Wolf. |
